An equal and opposite Reaction

PFFC 2 London Reaction 2

Damian, 19 November 2007

Torrential rain may have dampened the PFFC shirts more than a Halle Berry acceptance speech but it failed to dampen the spirits in this tough fixture against a solid London Reaction team. Good performances all round meant we almost broke our mallard at Willesden. A stunning goal from Tamber – with an assist from Rob – put us into the lead but LR pulled one back with help from Damian's chest. A very well taken goal from Kieran put us back into the lead before once again LR managed to pull a goal back from a set piece.

Lots of positives to take from the performance though: an excellent debut from Phil at centre half, and the whole team battling right to the final whistle in torrid conditions. Good team spirit shown yet again with lots of talking and encouragement throughout. Bit of practice perhaps needed to deal with set pieces deep in our half. Once we can sort that out, we can get used to holding onto our leads and move up the table.
