Reds walk to another victory

PFFC 5 Londrina 0 (w/o)

Ally, 21 April 2013

We gained another victory yesterday although it was not in the manner we would have liked. We were handed a 5-0 walkover against top-of-the-table Londrina who started the game with only 9 players and when their centre-back got injured, decided not to play on. We were only 1-0 up at this point from a penalty scored by Adam and they still had a chance to come back as we were not at our best but, as the gaffer said 'they don't have our spirit'.

We provisionally move to third in the table behind Londrina and Arup although the standings depend on other fixtures played yesterday.

This Sunday we face last season's champions Sporting Falcons who, like everyone in the league, have won as many as they have lost. Realistically, we should be aiming to win our last two games - mathematically three or four teams can win the league (including bottom of the table Grafton!) but we need our strongest squad out to achieve this so let's make a big effort please.
